"it is obvious the problem lies with chrome and firefox""??  are yous serious??

why does MS always seem to endeavour and 'pass the buck'?  i had several issues with onedrive and was brash not one time, not twice, but three split times--since the problem reoccurred three times--that i needed to reinstall the Os--instead of finding a real solution.  i have since discovered the solution myself, no thanks to microsoft.

irrespective of this,  the fact that the problem does not exist on the OS's built-in, 'preferred' browser is no surprise.

this near seems like a ploy to become people to utilise edge.  i adopt non to.

then, in response to your statement, i have not updated chrome in quite a while, since i rarely use information technology, and also reinstalled the firefox version i had before upgrading to 64 bit.  in improver, the only fourth dimension i have used chrome in months was to cheque if the problem ran across all browsers.

so, please, if you will, explicate in detail WHY "it is obvious the problem lies with chrome and firefox".

so i might be able to sympathize your statement.

as of now, i believe that update might take been the trouble, but that'due south just my feeling.

in any example, i would like to know why the update would not uninstall...

thank you.

Windows was updated, Facebook may take been updated and  Chrome, Firefox may need an update to catch upward. Have you tried setting either to default settings?

Are y'all attempting to uninstall the update through control panel or Settings > Windows Update?

Take y'all considered performing a Arrangement Restore to a engagement/time before the update was installed?

pitiful nigh the 'shouting'.  i totally forgot at that place were italics available in these posts.  the capitalization was meant every bit an emphasis.

so, tried system restore and every restore point failed, due to a problem with app staging.  tried a reset, which failed each fourth dimension i tried.  something to practice with active directory.  couldn[t screenshot that as the PC was non started.
now, all restore points are gone.  result is notwithstanding nowadays.

i am really not in the mood to practice a make clean install.

i did dowload the .csv of all files included in 4015217, but that is actually no help.  the link provided did not include whatsoever pick to remove the update.  MS claims "no known problems".

i am gobsmacked.  no idea how to go along without reinstalling Os.

thank you for your replies.

Microsoft Edge is an app

Cyberspace Explorer is an app

In the past you installed or uninstalled Internet Explorer. All browsers are apps used for rendering spider web pages.Without a browser app - you wouldn't see annihilation.
